As we started gigging and playing our original songs I had just finished recording Mind's Eye with the guys which had become the title track of my previous record. Since we were a 3 piece and Mind's Eye was originally written and recorded on an Electric Piano we needed to adopt the song to just Guitar, Bass and Drums. Over time it evolved to the point that during our recording session we decided to capture this alternative version. I was happy with the result and later added some subtle keyboards and strings while keeping the feel guitar driven

Mind's Eye came out of my studies of Ayahuasca and other plant medicines. It is a song about surrender. There is a sense of adventure and mystery coupled with the fear of the unknown. Each chorus expresses my vulnerability from hesitating to let go of the pain and stories of my past. It's what the medicine asks of me in order to emerge to a place of creativity and connection beyond what had been possible for me before.
